Beautiful Flowers Using a Scallop Punch

Hello everyone! Darlene here this week.

One of the main questions I get asked a lot is: "Where do you get your flowers?" Flowers are definitely one of my favorite to create using a variety of punches. So I thought I would share a couple of my favorite flowers using a simple
2 1/4" Scallop Punch.

Here is what I used to create the flowers: hot glue gun, paint brush, detailed scissors
pearl embellishments and a 2 1/4" paper punch.

Start out by punching out (6) scallop circles for each
flower you would like to create.

For the yellow flower: With the detailed scissors you will cut a slit along
every other scallop. Repeat this on each scallop circle.

For the orange flower: With the detailed scissors you will cut a slit along
each scallop. Repeat this on each scallop circle.

With your hot glue gun, dab some glue on the underside of each
scallop circle and layer them one on top of the other.

Using your paintbrush handle roll the petals to create a more
realistic look.

I used Simon Says Stamps Thanks 3 x 4 and punched it out with a
Stampin Up Punch I had on hand. The leaves were hand out and hot
glued. to the flower. These flowers are the perfect accent for gifts,
packaging, scrapbooking or card making.

Disney- Stars n Cars

Hi Friends,
Anna here from St@mpAnna Designs

Today I am sharing with you another page for the Disney Album. We are "Trucking" along to get the album finished.

This picture is of Lightning McQueen & Mater.  I had to add other embellishments around the page to show a few of the "other" characters.  What is a Disney page with out Mickey in a race car?

Supplies:  I can't remember who the letters are by but All other from EK Success

Art Spotlight

Hi Friends,

Anna here and I have the pleasure to announce something new on the blog.  On the 15th of the month we are going to have an "Art Spotlight".  This is where we have seen something and we want to share it with you.  These folks may or may not have a blog.  These Crafter/Artist give us permission to use their work on our blog.

Today I have the honor of sharing with you some creative work by a dear friend of mine, Betsy Yurtseven.

Betsy made the above tag and once she gave it to me I knew immediately that I wanted to share it with you here.  The Prima Dolls by Julie Nutting are all simply adorable. There is so much detail the Tag that makes it just beautiful.  Thank you Betsy....

Below are a few more projects she has made.  I hope you enjoy as much as I do.

Disney- Happiest Place

Hi Friends,

Anna here from St@mpanna Designs to share with you another layout for my Disney Album.

This is another page for my 2011 Disney Album.  I am on a mission to get it finished.

The paper is from Simple Stories- Say Cheese collection.  I love that line and it is perfect.  I barely had to add anything to the page as it was pretty much done for you.   I did add the strip of film above the word "magic".  I used some gold foil  hearts that are by Studio Calico and used my EK Success Mickey Head punch for the bottom left mickey head.  The Gold letters at the top are Thickers by American Crafts.  I used a EK Success border punch to get the pinking edge along the bottom of the film strip.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Disney: Something Magical

Hi Friends,

Anna here from St@mpAnna designs!  I am here to show you a layout I created last week for my Disney Album.  I know many of you LOVE ALL THINGS DISNEY!  There is just something Magical about it.  And even though it has been a few years since I have been there, I still feel the magic while scrapping the photo's.

How long does it usually take you to complete a "Trip" album?  Travel?  Wedding?  I feel like this one is taking me forever - but honestly,  I don't mind.  I enjoy the process and I am loving the outcome of my pages.

This page is for my Disney Album, from my 2011 Disney Trip.   I am doing this Disney Trip in a retired Creative Memories Disney Album.  This is the album I am using with all black pages inside the album.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

What Can I Say, I'm a Showoff!

Hey everyone. It's Elizabeth again. Jumping in for Darlene this week while she takes care of some things at home.  So check back soon for another wonderful post from her. For now though, you'll just have to put up with me ... but at least I don't have another garland to show ya. Lol.

Yesterday was Christmas in July for me ... the Fed Ex man left a large box filled with some very special treasures on my doorstep. (Thanks Vi!)  Included in the bounty of happiness were these two page layouts I had created a while back for the company I free lance with.  It's always a lovely treat to have projects returned.  Like having a lost family member return home after a long absence.

And because buried deep down inside I harbor the annoying characteristic of being a showoff, I'm putting them on display for you to ooh and ahh over ... or throw darts at ... which ever floats your boat. So Merry Christmas dear reader!  I hope you'll find some inspiration in these pages ... or at least get some dart throwing practice in ; ).

(Product disclosure: all product used in these layouts was provided by EK Success Brands and K&Company.)
