Happy Veterans Day! Carla here today with a patriotic post in honor of the holiday.
This is one of the first scrapbook classes I taught, almost 10 years ago, and still one of my favorites. I created a flag background with torn stripes and punched stars.
It serves as a ground for any kind of military or patriotic page. I used it on a layout about my assignment as the director of public affairs at Lackland Air Force Base, home of all basic training for the Air Force. Lacking many of my own photos from work, I scrapped the story using postcards from the base, along with my new business card.
You could also use this background to document someone's entry into military service, your Independence Day celebration, or a visit to Washington, DC. What other ways can you think of to use this flag background?
p.s. We still have exciting news coming for the Crafting Journals! I can't wait until we can tell you!

This is a wonder tribute. I think you did a great job with the flag backup ground.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea for a background! The tearing gives the flag the effect that it's blowing in the wind.
