Hello Friend Card

Hi everyone! It's Darlene here!

It's a rainy fall day here in the northeast so I had some time to be a little creative today.

I created this card using Lawn Fawn's "Joy to the Woods" stamp set and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches "Just a Note" set. Starting with a 5 1/2" x 4" card base. Using Tim Holtz Distress Inks I created my background image of the sky and grass. The colors I used to create the sky were: Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood, Faded Jeans and Black Soot. The grassy area was done using the following Distress Inks: Shabby Shutters and Pine Needles. With the trees, I had lightly colored them with my Copics (N0 Neutral Gray No. 0).  I also used 3D foam dots to pop up some of the trees for dimension. The bird and fox are colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.  Thanks for stopping by!

Friends Forever!

Hi everyone…Darlene here!

I couldn't resist doing a quick post of an adorable card I created tonight. It features Feathered Friends for Simon Says Stamps.  I also used Paper Smooches Clouds die which I am totally in love with!

*Make a card base with white cardstock to measure 6" x 4"
*Using a 1 1 /2" paper punch - punch 3 circles along the edge of your base.
*With the same punch go ahead and punch 3 circles from light blue cardstock.
*Stamp the wire on the light blue cardstock for the bird to sit on and adhere to the inside of cover so it shows through front cover.
*Adhere the clouds to light blue cardstock.
*Add the birds using foam dots.
*Cut a few strips of coordinating paper and cut into a upside down "V" at bottom creating a pennant shape. Layer and adhere to base.
*Stamp title and mat using foam dots to adhere.

I also used the following Copics to color my images:

YG06     YR02
YG11     YR07
YG23     YR15
YG61     YR23

Have a "Super" Day!

Hi everyone! Darlene here this week....

This week was my husband's birthday. In the past, I have always bought him a card but this year I decided to finally make one for him.  My order from Paper Smooches came in and I couldn't resist their "Super" stamps. I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. I also used Stampin Up ink "Bashful Blue" to create some light clouds behind the buildings. Tim Holtz Distress ink "Weatherwood" created the street in front of the buildings. I fussy cut all the images and adhered them to the card base using 3D foam circles.

Happy World Card Making Day

Hi Everyone,

Happy World Card Making Day!

Anna and Darlene here to share with you what we made today (so far).  We are still in the process of making some cards.

How is your day turning out?  Are you doing anything creative?

Here is a close up of the cards.

This card was made by Darlene.  This is a Swing Card.  Where you open it and the circle flips to show the back.  The stamp is by Paper Smooches and was colored in with copic markers.  Darlene stamped the image twice so she could cut out the leaves to add some dimension to the acorn.

Here is another view of the acorn flip card.

This is card #2.

This card is made by Anna and again is using Paper smooches stamps  I colored the image with distress markers by Tim Holtz and blended with a water pen.  I cut out the image and adhered to my card front with foam dots.

Another Flip card made by Anna.  No stamping involved here just some chipboard embellishments from my stash.

This card above is made by Anna and again is using Chipboard Embellishments from my stash.  Simple Cute and ready to pop in the mail.

Yes, Folks,  I saved the best for last.  Isn't this a sweet sweet card.  Also made by Darlene and she used a old Stampin' Up Stencil to do the clouds with her distress inks.  The image is by Paper Smooches and the sentiment is by Kraftin Kimmie.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a wonderful week end.

See you next time on the Blog.

Happy Birthday Cards

Hey Everyone,

Anna here this week from www.stampanna.com.

Hope you had a great week-end! This week end was my nieces birthday and we spent pretty much all day Saturday at her party.  It was also my nephews birthday in California and he had a party on Saturday.  Since it was a "Birthday Week-end" for me- I figured I would share with you some Birthday Cards that I made.

A few weeks back I had a stamping session with a dear friend of mine.  (Hi Darlene!) These are only 4 of the 9 cards we made that day.  We each made 2 of each design with each one slightly different.  We did have fun just stamping all day. (I can't wait to do it again soon!!)

The stamped images are from Tim Holtz Blue Print Collection.  Let me just say---- LOVE LOVE LOVE them.  :)  I should  have purchased more designs.  (I suppose there is still time right?) {SMILE} The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. (The little "wish big" is from Papertrey Ink.) Paper Smooches is another stamp company that I LOVE LOVE LOVE.  :)  (Shhh,  I need to add more to my collection)  With great stamps and Tim Holtz distress inks and copic markers.  It just makes my heart go pitter patter.

Let me share some close up pictures with some details:
I would have to say this one is my favorite.  I think the pink is what did me in.  :) The candle is stamped again on a separate paper, colored in and cut out.  I added it to the card front with foam dimensional.

This one above is a nice masculine card.  I don't know if you are like me and have a hard time with manly cards.  But I have the hardest time putting it together.  So I am really happy with this one.  ~The image was stamped an extra time on a separate paper, colored in with copic markers, then fussy cut out.  After you cut it out run the image through the big shot with an embossing folder.  Use your foam dimensional to adhere to card front.

This one is Stamped and colored in with copic markers.  Then I added Crystal Stickles to the bow for a little shimmer.

Another "Manly" card.  This one is colored in with copic markers.  The "Party" is stamped on a separate paper and then cut out.  Adhered to the card front with foam dimensional.   I added stickles for more dimension to the card.

Let the Good Times Roll

Hey Everyone,

Great News....  It's Friday!  Which means in a short few hours we will be drawing for the prize for our National Scrapbook Day Give-a-Way!  Be sure to CLICK here to enter.  Drawing closes at Midnight tonight.  (That is Eastern Standard Time)

Today I want to share with you a card I made using Paper Smooches Stamps.  I am going to be honest and tell you that I didn't make this recently.  I don't remember exactly when it was made, but I do know it has been a little bit.

I love the old jukebox in this card.  I colored the image with my copic markers and added some glossy accents to give it some shine.  As I remember (not that I am that old) old jukeboxes is that they are very SHINY.  The paper is from a 6 x 6 paper pad in my stash.  and just regular card stock as a base.  The card measures at 4 x 4 square.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday.
